# R4: Hardware Supply Chain Attack

**Risk:** Compromise of qSIM hardware during manufacturing\
**Likelihood:** Low\
**Impact:** Critical

**Mitigation Measures:**

* Compliance with NIST Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) standards
* Dual-sourcing manufacturing (2+ foundries)
* Tamper-evident packaging and delivery verification
* Continuous attestation for compromise detection
* Annual independent hardware security audits
* Automated entropy statistical monitoring alerts

**Residual Risk:** Low\
Multi-layer detection significantly reduces risk; however, nation-state-level attacks cannot be entirely eliminated.
